HAHNVILLE – St. Charles Parish will cut the ribbon on the West Bank Trailhead on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. under the gazebo beneath the Hale Boggs Bridge between Fre’re Street and River Road in Luling. The event is open to the public.
The West Bank Trailhead is comprised of area pavement, a ramp for handicap accessibility, bathrooms, bench seating, bike racks, parking and is highlighted by a gazebo. This project will serve the people of St. Charles Parish by enhancing experiences at the Mississippi River overlook for walkers, bikers, tourists and more.
“It is great to be able to open the West Bank Trailhead for our residents officially,” President Matthew Jewell said. “It is exciting to have an area safe for our residents and tourists near the Mississippi River. I encourage everyone to come out to the trailhead and experience some of the excellent features it has.”
Remarks will be given by President Jewell, local elected officials and stakeholders affiliated with the project.
