LAPLACE — The Kiwanis Club of the Tri Parishes announces their first and exciting fundraiser event. The inaugural Mother’s Day Pop-Up Shop will be held on Saturday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Belle Terre Country Club of LaPlace, located at 111 Fairway Drive.

The prestigious and newly formed club has plans to raise funds to support children, recruit additional members, and most importantly, celebrate mothers.

The Pop-Up Shop will consist of adult and student vendors who will showcase their merchandise for customers to purchase Mother’s Day gifts and win prizes. Delicious food and beverages will be sold, and pictures can be taken at this anticipated event.

The Kiwanis Club of the Tri Parishes plans to use proceeds from the upcoming fundraiser to support children in the areas of education, leadership and healthcare. Kiwanis is an international club of over 550,000 volunteers who serve their local communities and impact the entire world.

The club president, Dayna James, and founding club members are gearing up other events to assist children in developing their skills to become productive citizens.
