On Saturday, April 2, 2022 just after 1:00 am, deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of an unconscious female discovered by a family friend in a residence in the 200 block of Pine Street in Hahnville, LA. Deputies arrived on scene and found a deceased female suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Through investigation, the deceased female has been identified as Jerilyn Robottom, a 53-year-old female resident of Hahnville, LA. A firearm was located near the body at the scene. An autopsy was performed this morning, in which the pathologist indicated that the preliminary examination results are consistent with a self-inflicted wound; however the investigation is ongoing and all possibilities are being investigated. Anyone with any information including citizens in the area with home surveillance or Ring camera systems are asked to review their video footage and to contact Detective Kevin Tennison of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 783-6807 or (985) 783-1135, if they have any information or observed any suspicious activity that may be related to the incident.
