Reckless driver hits SCSO patrol vehicle

On Friday, March 11, 2022 just before 4 pm, a deputy with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division was actively patrolling in the area of Nicholas Street in Hahnville, LA and observed a black Honda SUV driving carelessly on top of the levee.
The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, using his emergency lights and siren, but the vehicle refused to stop. The driver intentionally struck the deputy’s fully marked patrol vehicle.
The driver was detained on Highway 3127 in Killona, LA and transported to the hospital by EMS.
This is an ongoing investigation.
