1974 – Dudley Stadler III, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Stadler Jr. of LaPlace has been named an Eagle Scout, the highest honor in scouting. He has been in scouting for nine years. A junior at De LaSalle High School in New Orleans, he is junior assistant scoutmaster of local Troop 312. The district scout executive, Mark Reynerson, gave Stadler his award that consisted of the plaque he is holding, which has President Nixon’s signature on it, a medal, a badge, tie clasp and pin and a letter of congratulations from the president of Boy Scouts.
