Clay hauling for the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Levee Protection Project has started in LaPlace. Sheriff Mike Tregre would like to remind motorists to exercise extreme caution and have patience as they travel along LaPlace highways. Several tandem trucks will be traveling from the Bonnet Carre Spillway, along Airline Highway to Main Street to La. 628 to La. 3217 and back to Airline Highway.

Please reduce speed in these areas, utilize good judgment, exercise patience as you could end up behind a truck, and allow extra time traveling these roadways.
