The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possession of a firearm by a student. On Monday, April 26, a Lutcher High School student was found to have a firearm. According to a release by the St. James Parish Public School System, “the firearm was confiscated by administration as soon as the student arrived on campus shortly after the bell. The Sheriff’s Office was notified and responded immediately. At no time were any students, faculty or staff in danger”.
