LaPlace, La. – (April 26, 2021) – Walmart’s licensed pharmacists will be administering COVID-19 vaccines in LaPlace during a drive-thru clinic at the Walmart Supercenter located at 1616 W. Airline Highway, starting Thursday, April 29 through Monday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eligible patients can schedule a vaccine appointment via the Walmart website. The location is also accepting drive-up patients without appointments, making it convenient to get vaccinated.
The community event will be administering the Pfizer vaccine, which is available to persons 16 and older. The second dose appointment will be made while administering the first vaccination round. Patients need to bring a current insurance card, including their red, white and blue Medicare card, to the appointment, if they have them. However, proof of insurance is not required and there is no cost to receive the vaccine.
Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies will continue supporting states and the federal government to help increase the accessibility and availability of COVID-19 vaccines.
