St. James Parish 17-year-old shot several times; arrest warrant issued for suspect

On Friday February 5, 2021 at approximately 9:16 pm, the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a shooting that had taken place at a residence located on Nicole Street in Paulina, LA. The caller stated his brother had just been shot in their home. Deputies who arrived on scene discovered Myron Mills, Jr. (17 years old) had been shot multiple times. The St. James Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Myron Mills deceased at the scene. Detectives investigating the homicide have taken a suspect into custody for the murder of Myron Mills. Arrest warrants have been issued for Tarrence Beckett (18 years old) charging him with 2nd Degree Murder.
