The Supriya Jindal Foundation for Louisiana’s Children, with charter partner Marathon Petroleum Corporation, announced this week the award of 160 tablets to 40 classrooms in St. John the Baptist and St. James parishes.
Through this award, every public first grade classroom will receive four tablets, benefiting the education of young students in St. John the Baptist and St. James parishes.
“Establishing a strong foundation for our students to build upon is so very important – we all want to ensure all our students master the basics of reading, writing, math and science,” Supriya Jindal said. “Thus, the Foundation is proud to work with Marathon Petroleum Corporation to award every public first grade classroom in St. John the Baptist and St. James parishes with tablet technology to further aid in our students’ mastery of core subjects.
“With hard work, we believe we have the opportunity to make a lasting and positive difference in education.”
