HOUMA — East St. John collected its second win of the season in a five-day stretch Wednesday evening. The Wildcats traveled to Houma to face H.L. Bourgeois in the district opener and ended the night with a 34-20 win.
The second quarter showcased explosive play as The E collected 28 points. Senior quarterback Marcus Jackson performed well on the field and brought home a 14-yard touchdown run. Sophomore Cortez Fisher was another standout during the game with 189 yards rushing. Fisher’s efforts included a two-point conversion rush and a score on a 28-yard run.
