LAPLACE – Parish President Jaclyn Hotard and crews from Capital Projects delivered supplies donated by residents and employees of St. John to Calcasieu Parish. Upon delivery to the United Way in Lake Charles, President Hotard was greeted by Lake Charles Mayor Nic Hunter, who updated her on recovery efforts and expressed his sincere gratitude for the donations.

 

“I can’t thank St. John enough for doing this,” said Mayor Hunter. “It means the world to me and this entire area. God bless all of you.”

President Hotard added “Witnessing the devastation in Lake Charles today was truly heartbreaking. We understand wholeheartedly what these residents are going through because we have been there. I want to thank all of the residents and businesses who contributed last week during the donation drive.  It is truly appreciated and will be given to those who need it most.”
