St. John Parish Court Briefs: Probations revoked

EDGARD — The St. John Clerk of Court announced that Noron Spain, charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and aggravated burglary of an inhabited dwelling, was recently sentenced to 10 years with the Department of Corrections after violating his probation. Spain was given credit for all time served from the date arrest July 15, 2013.
Ad hoc Judge Kirk Vaughn presided over the matter. Defense attorney Iriane Lee was present via Zoom, and ADA Philip Prescott was present for the state. Heather Pennington present from the probation and parole office. Pennington and Deputy Benjamin Teekell give testimony.
Kenney Vicknair, charged with aggravated flight from police officer and sale, distribution or possession of a legend drug, was recently sentenced to five years with the Department of Corrections after violating his probation. He was given credit for all time served from date of arrest Aug. 15, 2016. Defense Attorney Eric Goza was present via Zoom, and ADA Philip Prescott was present for the prosecution. Jacob Falgout was present from the probation and parole office on behalf of Veyond Ketchens.
