If you hear of someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, or infected by the coronavirus, there are choices that must be made. They both can kill, and the news is devastating.

I’ll never forget when my daughter, Ronny, was diagnosed with acute leukemia in 1992. Her doctor, oncologist Dr. Jayne Gurtler, considered one of the best in her field, shared the following with her:

WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO

Cancer is so limited. It cannot cripple love. It cannot shatter hope. It cannot corrode faith. It cannot destroy peace. It cannot kill friendship. It cannot suppress memories. It cannot silence courage. It cannot invade the soul. It cannot steal eternal life. It cannot conquer the spirit.

Instead of focusing on the negative news of cancer, or the coronavirus, be positive and concentrate on the things that cannot rob us of our serenity or where we’ll spend eternity.
