Many people in America were infected by the coronavirus, but all of us have been affected. I’ve heard politicians, spiritual leaders and laymen continually say that we will get over this and be a better country for it. I strongly disagree because I believe that America is not a Christian nation anymore.

I’ve heard people compare this to the Second World War. There is no comparison. That generation was called and remembered as the greatest generation of all time. I agree, and the reason for our victory over the evil forces was evident. America was united and during that period was a Christian nation.

Today, we are a divided nation with more hatred toward each other, disrespect for God and selfishness. We don’t ask what we can do for our country, but what it can do for us.

I realize that everything I’ve written about our country is negative, except if you are a Christian and positive.

America will not be a better country because of this deadly virus, but I will be a better person. Because of the restrictions on my regular routine, I’ve had time to take a personal inventory of myself. I’ve prayed more, used the phone more to reach out to people, and realized that the only two things I control are my attitude and the choices I make.
