Sarah Beth “Sadie” Davis was born on October 2, 1982 on a warm day in Hardinsburg, KY. She grew up in a loving family with her Daddy and Momma, Tim and Pam Davis, surrounded by her five siblings Jason, Dana, Ashley, Lindsey and John. She was a wonderful sister and even though she was never afraid to tell it like it was, she had a soft side too. She was always the sibling to make everyone laugh and bring out joy and life. In later years, she was so proud to be an aunt and great aunt to Bethany, Christopher, Jacob, Nathan, Brailyn, Morgan, Emmalyn, Jackson, Caroline, Brynlee, Zaylee and Mason. Her formative years were spent in Reserve, Louisiana where she was a cheerleader and volleyball player. However, Sarah was also a champion of the underdog and quickly made friends with all she met. She enjoyed spending time with her grandparents, Melvin and Helen every summer in Kingswood, KY where she acquired her passion for gardening.
As an adult, Sarah lived in New Orleans a good many years where she developed her love of cooking, art and makeup artistry. While in New Orleans, Sarah met many lifelong friends including her loving partner, David Portnoy. She never met a stranger and had the most accepting heart. She was a lifelong animal lover and is preceded in death by her cats Toby and Tiggy, her loyal pup Jean Claude and her snake Evekha.
On November 20, 2012 Sarah gave birth in Minneapolis to her son Elan Davis Maia and it changed her life forever. Sarah was an exceptional mother. She and Elan enjoyed hiking, going to museums, playing video games, cooking and gardening and many other activities. She loved Elan with everything she was.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Helen Galloway and will be interred next to them.
Sarah was so loved and will be missed by all.
