ST. ROSE — Dr. Cleopatra Thompson had a desire to practice dentistry from the time she was 15 years old. It was a personal experience with a dentist that truly changed her life and directed her career choice.

She opened Crescent City Dentistry in 2004 in Harahan. The practice grew quickly, and it wasn’t long before the need for services outgrew the office. Since many of her patients lived in St. Charles Parish, Thompson moved to St. Rose in 2010 and has continued to serve patients in a state-of-the-art facility.

Located at 10964 River Road in St. Rose, Crescent City Dentistry offers a range of general dentistry services, from Botox/Juveder to implants, extractions and cosmetic fillings. Thompson has also had the pleasure of participating in health fairs, supporting the local schools in their fundraising efforts and speaking to students about the importance of their dental health.

“I am most passionate about helping the most fearful patient. Unfortunately, fear can prevent a patient from taking care of their dental needs,” Thompson said. “This in turn can lead to significant dental ailments. In these and all cases, it is my goal to establish a relationship with my patients built on trust AND listening to their needs and concerns.”

The goal for the future is to continue serving the River Parish communities.

Thompson said “success” is difficult to define.

“I am constantly growing and learning each day,” Thompson said. “Success for me is a journey and not a destination. I am humbled to be practicing dentistry now for 19 years, and it is the patients who make it all meaningful.
