St. John students hold Winter Music Showcase

RESERVE — Talented music students from St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools recently presented their Christmas Music Showcase. Students put on three nights of spectacular performances featuring violins, pianos, saxophones, flutes, vocalists and more.

More than 50 students are enrolled in the talented music program for the 2019-2020 school year, signaling an increase in involvement since the implementation of the VH1 Save the Music Foundation grant.

East St. John Preparatory Academy seventh-grader Landon Anderson plays ‘Just Say You Won’t Go’ on the violin. Students in the St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District’s Talented Music Program presented their Christmas Music Showcase Dec. 10, 11 and 12.
