LAPLACE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is hosting the Inaugural First Responders Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the Percy Hebert building, located at 1801 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace. The free event is hosted in conjunction with the St. John Parish Fire Services and Acadian Ambulance.

Families can go to each of the parked vehicles and receive candy from an ambulance, fire trucks and police units. The SJSO Superheroes and Sparky the Fire Dog also will be on hand to visit with children.
