ST. ROSE — The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting  that occurred near an apartment complex on East Club Drive in St. Rose.

  On Oct. 9, just before 5:30 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting that occurred in the 200 block of East Club Drive in St. Rose. Responding deputies arrived and located a male victim that suffered from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the torso of his body. The male was transported to University Medical Center for treatment.

  A crime scene was located between two apartment complexes, near a wooded area. Currently the motive has not been determined, but there is no perceived threat to the public. This is an active investigation.
