CONVENT — A Town Hall with General Russel L. Honoré will be held from noon to 2:30 p.m. July 20 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church Hall, located at 6476 in Convent.

Gumbo and refreshments will be served. Organizers said Parish Council members have been invited to attend.

Honoré, also known as “The Ragin’ Cajun,” is a retired lieutenant general best known for serving as commander of Joint Task Force Katrina. He was responsible for coordinating military relief efforts for Gulf Coast communities impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
