RESERVE — William J. “Bill” Wetta, senior vice president of product development & chief technology officer of DSC Dredge, was awarded the Barry K. Wendt Commitment Award during National Stone Sand and Gravel Association’s annual convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, last month.

Deemed the aggregates industry’s highest, most distinguished individual award, the Association established the Wendt award to recognize individuals who exhibit the dedication and commitment to the industry that Barry Wendt did.

“I understand what it means to be on this list,” Wetta said. “This is the only job and only industry I’ve worked at. I’ve been doing this almost 40 years.”

In his leadership role at DSC Dredge, Wetta serves as project manager of all company engineering and construction.

A registered professional engineer in mechanical engineering, he earned his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Louisiana State University.
