VACHERIE — U.S. Sen. David Vitter will host a town hall meeting Monday to hear from constituents in St. James Parish.
“Meeting with Louisianians and visiting communities across the state is one of the most important parts of my job,” Vitter said. “It allows me to hear about the issues most important to people in Louisiana. I’m looking forward to visiting with folks and discussing my efforts to protect millions of homeowners from facing unaffordable flood insurance premium rate hikes, trying to get rid of Obamacare, improving education and growing good jobs in Louisiana – especially in our energy and manufacturing industries.”
Vitter will host the meeting from 3 to 4 p.m. at the St. James Parish Council Chambers, 2631 Louisiana 20 West in Vacherie.
Vitter said he has made keeping in touch with Louisiana residents his top priority and holds a town hall meeting in all 64 parishes every Congress.
Vitter’s office said he has held more than 280 town hall meetings since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate.
