Keller: National champion coach credits faith, God

Monday night, the Clemson Tigers beat who many thought was an unbeatable Alabama football team in a blowout 44-16.
I was pulling for Alabama, and if I was a betting man, would have wagered my money on them.
The football world was shocked at the way the Clemson team manhandled Alabama to become the National Champions. With the victory, the Tigers completed one of the greatest seasons in college football.
I looked at every play in that game and, like most fans, kept waiting for Alabama to come back and win.
It never happened, but I always enjoy the comments of the coaches and players of the winning team after an important game.
I never was so excited to hear winning coach, Dabo Swinney, as he spoke and continually gave credit to his coaches, players, fans and, especially, acknowledged Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of his life.
He said, “No director in Hollywood could have scripted the outcome of this other than God.”
The next day I looked up his testimony of his Christian walk.
He accepted Jesus at age 16 and is raising his children to be God-fearing.
I’m reminded of what Jesus said in Matthew 10:32, “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.”
Every Christian should be a witness as Coach Swinney was Monday night.
