- Brian C. Schexnayder, son of Les and Claudia Schexnayder of Lutcher, was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, Medical Corps, U.S. Navy on Nov. 1 during a private ceremony with his wife Sarah, daughter Hannah and son Jake. Brian is a doctor in his third year of residency in OB/GYN at the Naval Medical Center, Balboa in San Diego, Calif.
