LAPLACE — The 45th Annual Andouille Festival presented by Marathon Petroleum Company committee announced that 24 food vendors, more than 28 craft vendors and more than 25 entertainers have been selected to participate in this year’s festival.

The festival takes Oct. 19-21 at Thomas F. Daley Memorial Park in LaPlace.

Live entertainment for the festival main stage includes Bucktown All-Stars, Mojeaux, 90 Degrees West, Keith Frank and the Souileau Zydeco Band, Shot Time, Faith Becnel & the Music Krewe and more.

The Gospel Tent will feature headliner Wayne Anthony from the James Cleveland Singers “God is” on Sunday and bands will also be rocking the Kid’s Tent throughout the weekend.

Food vendors will feature andouille in their dishes as well as offer local cuisine and festival favorites. Vendors will have a wide range of dishes including andouille eggrolls, fried andouille chips, seafood pasta, crawfish bisque, jambalaya, pastalaya, gumbo, Cajun ribs, smothered okra, crawfish balls, Asian andouille shrimp and more!

Craft vendors will also be on site selling unique items such as jewelry, candles, bags, scarves, wreaths, homemade salsa, baked goods and holiday décor.

Festival posters and ride passes go on sale Friday at the St. John Parish Economic Development Department, Matherne’s Market in LaPlace, Don’s Country Store and Gregg’s Neighborhood Market in Reserve and the Edgard Courthouse.

The 45th Annual St. John Parish Andouille Festival features great music, festivities, good times and great food cooked with andouille, the delectable sausage for which the festival was named.
