Theresa Martin Roussel, 87, passed away peacefully on Jan. 14,2014, at St.James Parish Hospital. A life-long resident of Paulina, she was currently residing at Chateau St. James in Lutcher.

To many she was “Noonie Babe” and to others as “Ms. Miko.” She managed Miko’s Seafood in Lutcher for 35 years and loved every minute of it.  It was her passion. She loved each and everyone who walked through the door and always said “Thank You Sha” and “come back.”

She was the beloved wife of the late Lee “Payute” Roussel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Claudia Martin, brothers Roland, Mark, Joe, Tobey and Alvin and a sister, Ruth Forsythe.

She is survived by her four children, Robert “Poncho” Roussel and wife Brenda, Michael “Miko” Roussel and wife Kathy, Darlene “Sis” Martinez and husband Roy and Dale “Pinto” Roussel and late wife Joni, and her sister, May Poche. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Telley Martinez, Angelle Martinez Duhe, Michael Roussel Jr., Carmen Roussel Louque, Dylan Roussel, Casey Roussel, Sarah Roussel Anslum, Ashley Roussel Poche and Lee Roussel, and 18 great grandchildren, along with two special people, Kitty Summers and Nannie Lollie.  

Visitation and services were on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at
