HAHNVILLE — The St. Charles Parish Finance Department received the 2018 Nationwide Aspire Award for their innovative leadership in promoting parish employee retirement savings during the National Association of County Officials.
The finance department was lauded at the Association’s annual conference in Nashville on July 16.
“We are truly humbled and honored to receive this prestigious award and to join the short list of past recipients,” Chief Finance Officer Grant Dussom said.
“The parish is in rare company with this honor, and none of it could have been possible without the hard work and support of the Personnel Department, Administration and Parish Council.
A very special thanks to all and we look forward to proudly displaying this tremendous achievement in our office.”
The Nationwide Aspire Award recognized the finance department for going above and beyond in empowering their employees for retirement success and was presented during the closing general session of the conference to District V Councilwoman Marilyn B. Bellock.
“It was a great honor to accept this award on behalf of St. Charles Parish,” Bellock said. “We are truly the best parish.”
