RESERVE — The St. John Council on Aging and St. John Sheriff’s Office helped present the 2018 Bayou River Senior Olympics at Regala Gym in Reserve last month.
The Council hosts the annual games for seniors ages 50 and older to promote health and wellness through competitive recreational events in a fun and social environment open to all.
Officers Denise Bertrand, Danielle Falgoust, Leonard Sanders Sr., Hardy Schexnayder, Lennie Valentine and Trystin Williams were record keepers for free throw basketball and table tennis.
While recording scores of the participants, they were able to interact with seniors from St. John Parish as well as Lafourche, Terrebonne and Assumption parishes.
