On April 3, a man from Luling was arrested on 92 charges of animal sexual abuse, as reported by Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill.

Agents with the AG’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested Dirk Paul Webre, 58, of Luling, after they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Webre is being charged with two counts of pornography involving juveniles and 92 counts of sexual abuse of an animal.

“Unfortunately, our agents never run out of work on these types of crimes. Great work by our LBI agents, deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations for getting this disturbing individual off the streets of Luling,” said Attorney General Liz Murrill.

Webre’s bond information is unknown at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
