St. Charles Parish residents are invited to join the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter for the Annual Rabies Vaccination Drive, providing affordable rabies vaccinations and free microchipping for dogs and cats.
The event will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, located at 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling.
The drive-through event will provide rabies vaccinations for $10 per animal, with a free microchip included for all pets receiving the vaccine. Residents must bring a valid ID as proof of residency.
Dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in a carrier. Cash is the only payment method accepted for this event.
The St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter urges residents to maintain regular veterinary care for pets by scheduling annual exams, staying updated on additional vaccines, heartworm, flea and tick prevention, and more with a licensed veterinarian and animal hospital.
