Victor Cortez Jr. was born on Aug. 23, 1949 and passed away July 3, 2024 at the age of 74.  He was born in Reserve, La. and resided in Lake Charles, La. for the past 35 years.  He is the son of the late Victor Cortez Sr. and Aurelie Cambre Cortez.  He is survived by his brother, Herbert Cortez (Sandra).  He is preceded in death by his siblings, Juliet C. Michel (Mike), Victoria C. Donley (Floyd), Richard “Sonny” Cortez, Francis C. Falgout (Johnny), Evelyn C. Songy (Larry) and Barbara Cortez.  Services were held privately.
