Youth golf league registration opens

The St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation is excited to announce its fourth season of youth golf through its partnership with First Tee Greater New Orleans. The program will return to Cypress Lakes in Ormond and has expanded to add programs at Grand Ridge in Willowdale.

Children ages 5-13 are invited to participate in First Tee. There are limited spots for the fall session. Registration is available at online.

Classes will begin September 5 and will run for eight weeks.  The season offerings are below.

Cypress Lakes – Thursday Afternoons

·         Ages 5-6 at 4:00 p.m.

·         Ages 7-9 at 4:00 p.m.

·         Ages 10-11 at 5:15 p.m.

·         Ages 12-13 at 5:15 p.m.

Grand Ridge – Friday Afternoons 

·         Ages 5-6 at 5:00 p.m.

First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through life’s challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, First Tee creates active learning experiences to build inner strength, self-confidence and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do. First Tee is Building Game Changers through its junior golf programs.
