Robert “Bobby” Charles Blythe, life long resident of LaPlace, La. and owner of Smokey’s Barbeque, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the age of 78. He was born in New Orleans, La. and was currently residing in Franklinton, La. with his daughter and son-in-law.
Beloved husband of the late Mary “Connie” Williams Blythe. Loving father of Tara Lynn Blythe Waller and the late Tiffany Janine Blythe. Grandfather of Kailee Renee Simoneaux, Katelyn Elizabeth Rains, JayLynn Angelle Blythe and Zachary John Waller. Son of the late Sybil Campaigne Blythe and David Crockett Blythe Sr. Brother of David Crockett Blythe Jr., Bruce William Blythe and Brian Michael Blythe. Also survived by his beloved four legged friend, Buddy Blythe.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Millet Guidry funeral home at 2806 West Airline Highway Laplace, La. on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.. for family and 9 a.m. –11 a.m. for friends. He will then be laid to rest in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Reserve, La.
