Krewe of Agape Announces Royalty for 19th Biennial Carnival Bal Masque

The Krewe of Agape Carnival Organization hosts its 19th biennial carnival bal masque on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at L’Auberge Casino and Hotel in Baton Rouge. This year’s theme is Agape Salutes The Wonders of the World
King Agape XIX is Mr. DeMarcus Bernard of Hammond, La. DeMarcus is the son of Gerald Brown, Sr and the late Retha Mae Bernard of Reserve, La. DeMarcus is a graduate of Cazenovia College of New York where he earned his Bachelor’s of Professional Studies- Accounting Concentration & a Minor in Sport Management. DeMarcus earned his Master of Business Administration -Accounting Concentration from Herzing University. DeMarcus currently serves as the St. John the Baptist Parish Park & Recreation Manager and is also the assistant Boys Basketball coach at St. Charles Catholic High School. He is also a license realtor with Century 21 Classic. DeMarcus is married to the former Jessica Green and they have one son, Jrue.
Queen Agape XIX is Ms. DeNair Marie Clark of Denver Colorado. DeNair is the daughter of the late Dardnella Marie Clark of Reserve, La. DeNair is no stranger to the Agape family, with her mom and uncle reigning as the first King and Queen Agape in 1988 (DeNair was a paige in that court). DeNair is now a resident of Denver Colorado where she is the Assistant Director of the Learning Effectiveness Program at the University of Denver. DeNair obtained her Master’s of Education Administration from the University of New Orleans and is currently enrolled in Morgridge College of Education Counseling Psychology program.
Captain Agape XIX is Ms. Edith Farlough of Mt. Airy, La. Edith is the daughter of the late Harding and Sedonia Hall Farlough. Edith is a graduate of Leon Godchaux and Meadows Draughon Business College. Edith has two sons Jarie Farlough and Kuan Mitchell. She is a proud member of Destiny Christian Center in Laplace.
Six Maids will make their debut this year with Agape.
