Comets and Rebels to vie for state swimming titles

Riverside Academy and St. Charles Catholic will send a slew of swimmers to Sulphur this week for the 2023 Louisiana High School Athletic Association State Swimming Meet to be held at the Sulphur Recreation and Aquatics Center.
Both schools will compete in preliminaries on Wednesday and finals on Thursday. Riverside competes in Division IV, while St. Charles competes in Division III for individual and team honors.
St. Charles male qualifiers are: Nicholas Abadie (100 fly, 100 breast); Ryan Beber (200 free, 500 free);Kyle Cannon (50 free);, Kaden Charlie (100 free, 100 breast); Owen Faucheux (100 free); Garrett Ide (200 free, 100 breast); Joshua Jensen (200 free, 100 free); Daniel Joseph (50 free, 100 free); Maddox Madere (100 fly); Gideon Marix (100 free, 100 breast); Carter Ory (200 IM, 500 free); Michael Romaguera (50 free, 100 free); Jacob Sosa (200 free, 500 free); Carson Weber (200 IM, 100 fly).
The St. Charles girls qualifiers are: Adrienne Arnett (100 free, 100 back); Lily Brady (200 IM, 100 back); Molly Brady (200 free, 500 free); Katherine Chapman (200 IM, 100 free); Hartley Faucheux (100 fly, 100 back); Julia Laiche (200 free, 500 free); Lauren Laiche (100 fly, 100 breast); Kinley Manson (200 IM); Bryleigh Sutherland (200 free, 500 free); Baileigh Sutherland (200 free, 500 free); Baileigh Tregre (50 free, 100 breast); Bryleigh Tregre (500 free, 100 breast); Faith Williams (100 fly).
Riverside’s male qualifiers are: Beau Brock (100 breast); Brennan Maus (50 free); Brody Vicknair (50 free).
The Riverside girls qualifiers are: Emma Babin (100 breast); Courtney Bordelon (100 free, 200 free); Corrin Cashio (100 back); Hannah St. Martin (50 free); Sofia Galvez (50 free, 100 free); Cami LaRose (50 free, 100 free); Kayla Rummel (200 free); Jordan Duhe (200 free); Taylor Duhe (100 free, 100 back); Brinley Roccaforte (50 free).
