Riverside Academy will reopen on Friday, Nov. 10 following Thursday’s closure due to a potential threat against the school.

In a message sent out to parents, Principal Holly Haase said that the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is still conducting an investigation on the matter and that there will be a strong police presence on campus on Friday.

As of Nov. 9, no details about the investigation have yet been released.

“We will continue to have police support us to ensure our students feel safe,” Haase said.
