Cassidy Announces $8.8 Million for South Louisiana in Hurricane Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced South Louisiana will receive $8,801,237.31 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Ida relief.
“Hurricane Ida hit South Louisiana hard and left a path of destruction in its wake,” said Dr. Cassidy. “However, our communities have shown great resiliency in the aftermath. This funding will help return them to wholeness.”
St. Charles Parish will receive $5,896,224.16 for debris removal. The Louisiana Children’s Medical Center (LCMC) in New Orleans will receive $2,905,013.15 for emergency protective measures.
