Full Weekend Closure LA 20 at Bayou Chevreuil, St. James Parish — Roadwork (Bridge Maintenance Operations) H.015627
The second scheduled upcoming weekend closure time frames were revised on Monday, September 11. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists of full closures on LA 20 as outlined below:

Closure Dates (Weather permitting):
– Sep 8, 2023 7:30 p.m. – Sep 10, 2023 4 p.m.
– Sep 15, 2023 11:59 p.m. – Sep 18, 2023 5 a.m.
The second weekend closure is scheduled to occur 11:59 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2023, and extending thru 5 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2023. Crews will be completing approach slab work at the south end of the existing structure over Bayou Chevreuil. Motorist may access the route by following the signed detour.
Detour Information:
No thru traffic will be able to pass at LA 20 and Bayou Chevreuil. Motorists may access LA 20 via the signed detour outlined below.
-LA 20 NB: LA 307 to LA 182, US 90, to LA 3127
-LA 20 SB: LA 3127 to US 90, to LA 182, to LA 307
