LULING – In partnership with the New Orleans Pelicans, the St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation is proud to announce registration for the 2023-24 Youth Basketball Season will take place from Friday, September 1 through Monday, September 25.

This is the eighth-consecutive season that the St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation has partnered with the New Orleans Pelicans to bring youth basketball to our residents, and the department has seen a cost-savings of nearly $150,000 since the partnership began in 2015.

“We are grateful for our continuing partnership with the New Orleans Pelicans throughout the years and are excited to bring another season of youth basketball to our residents,” Director Duane Foret said. “Our participation in youth basketball has consistently grown with this partnership, resulting in more than 800 players taking the court for us last season.”

Youth Basketball is offered to boys and girls 5-15, and parents should register their children through their respective booster club. The season will take place from early November 2023 – late January 2024.

Registration fees are $45 and include a reversible jersey with the Pelicans logo and shorts.
