St. James men arrested in firearms store burglary

PRAIRIEVILLE — According to Sheriff Bobby Webre, detectives with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office are looking for Kalib Walker, 18, of Convent, in relation to the burglary of Hebert Guns in Prairieville that occurred on July 31. He will be charged with simple burglary, damage to property, and theft of firearms.
On Monday July 31, at approximately 4:21a.m., deputies with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at a firearms store on Airline Highway in Prairieville. Upon arrival deputies observed extensive damage to the exterior and interior of the building. Through further investigation detectives learned that five male subjects made forced entry into the building after crashing a stolen Ford truck through the entryway. Throughout this investigation, detectives have arrested and charged three suspects: Darrel Morris Jr, 22, of Convent, Quendel Jones, 18, of Convent, and Ramon Patterson, 18 of Covent.
