Paulina man arrested for neighborhood shooting incident

On August 20, 2023, around 8:50 am, the St. James Sheriff’s Office was contacted in reference to shots being fired on Maura Street, in Paulina. Through investigation, detectives learned that the shooting occurred at 4:41 am. Detectives were also able to identify the vehicle used in the shooting and also the path the vehicle took to get into the neighborhood and leave out the neighborhood.
Caleb St. Pierre, white male, 27 years of age from Paulina was identified as a suspect. St. Pierre was brought in for questioning and admitted to firing the shots into the air after getting into an argument. Caleb has been arrested for R.S. 14:94 Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities, a felony charge.
