LAPLACE — Dominique Brown Miller has been named the chief financial officer for St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools.

Miller is a product of the school district, graduating from East St. John High School before obtaining her bachelor of science in accounting and bachelor of science in business administration. She has served in St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools since 2014, working over the last nine years as a purchasing clerk, Head Start fiscal manager and Supervisor of External Programs.

“St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools provided me with a strong foundation for my education,” Miller said. “I’m honored to be able to serve in the same district that educated me. As chief financial officer, meeting the needs of our students is at the forefront of all decision making.”
