LULING – Longtime Luling educator and resident, Michele DeBruler, qualified on Tuesday to run for St. Charles Parish Council District 7.
“As someone who has been a resident of District 7 for over 25 years and raised my family in the district, I understand the pressing issues facing the families in our community,” said DeBruler. “That’s why I’m dedicated to strengthening and safeguarding our community for the future. As the councilmember for District 7, I’m committed to securing affordable & resilient flood protection, improving infrastructure, increasing public safety, and sparking economic development.”
DeBruler’s 30-plus years as a leader in the St. Charles Parish Public School System, where she was recognized as both a Teacher of the Year and a Principal of the Year, help equip her with the skills required to provide great service to her constituents.
Beyond her robust understanding of public service, DeBruler currently serves on the St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning Commission in addition to serving as vice president of membership for the St. Charles Parish Republican Women’s Organization. She is a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she previously served on the Advisory Board, and is a current member of the St. Charles Parish and Louisiana Retired Teachers Association.
