The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to offer a firearms familiarization class for women at the Lloyd B. Johnson Law Enforcement Training Center, 947 Cambridge Drive, in LaPlace. Two members of the L’OBSERVATEUR team, General Manager Christine Browning, far left, and sales strategist Jess Walker, second from right, were among the participants in the July 26 class.
Each session covers basic fundamentals of marksmanship, safe handgun handling, and allows participants to fire a semi-auto handgun. No outside firearms or ammunition are permitted for the sessions.
More classes will be announced at a later date.
