BATON ROUGE – The right two lanes on I-110 north at the Convention St. exit (IB) in Baton Rouge are closed indefinitely because of a vehicle fire this morning. Department of Transportation and Development officials announced that the elevated highway will remain closed in this location for further inspection.
There currently is no timeframe for when the lanes will reopen. Bridge inspectors will be conducting an in-depth inspection on all aspects of the elevated highway beginning this afternoon.
DOTD advises motorists to use the 511la app, 511la.org, Waze, or Google maps to plan routes as there will be unusually high congestion in this location until the lanes are open.
