W A S H I N G T O N – U.S. senators Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) and John Kennedy (R-LA) announced that
Louisiana will receive a total of $10,032,980.60 from FEMA. Of this total, St. Charles Parish will receive $2,986,354 in grant funding for the elevation of 16 properties.
“Our communities should not have to worry about when the next storm will flood their homes and businesses,” said Dr. Cassidy. “These grants help mitigate the risk of flooding and give families peace of mind for the future.”
