Recurrence: This is an Alternating single lane closure. A pilot car will be used to escort traffic across the bridge during work hours.
Detour/Alternate Route: As an alternate route to avoid the lane closures: Motorists traveling I-55 Frontage Rd. northbound may take I-55 (Ruddock Exit 7), then north on I-55 to Manchac Exit 15 to re-intersect I-55 Frontage Rd. Motorists traveling I-55 Frontage Rd. southbound may take I-55 (Manchac Exit 15), then south on I-55 to Ruddock Exit 7 to re-intersect I-55 Frontage Rd.
Restrictions: Bridge lanes will be reduced to one 12’ lane.

There will be alternating lane closures on the I-55 Frontage Rd. at the South Pass Manchac Bridge (located 0.5 miles south of Manchac Exit 15), both northbound and southbound, while crews perform routine bridge inspection. Only one lane will be closed at a time. A pilot car will escort traffic across the bridge during work hours.
