University of Alabama announces honors lists

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — A total of 12,791 students enrolled during Fall Semester 2022 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s). These driven students are making waves across UA’s more than 70 undergraduate programs and 12 colleges and schools.

The UA dean’s and president’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The 2022 fall lists include the following students:

  • Rachel Duffy of Destrehan was named to the Dean’s List.
  • Hallie Hutchins of Destrehan was named to the Dean’s List.
  • Nicholas Nobile of Destrehan was named to the President’s List.
  • Emily Pari of Luling was named to the President’s List.

 

Ole Miss names Chancellor’s Honor Roll

 

UNIVERSITY, Mississippi — The University of Mississippi announced students named to the Spring 2023 Honor Roll lists, including Chancellor’s Honor Roll. The following local students made the list:

  • Avery Lirette, of Destrehan, majoring in public health & health sciences.
  • Remi Mato, of Luling, majoring in exercise science.
  • Emily Reeks, of Destrehan, majoring in political science.
  • Wesley Templet, of Vacherie, majoring in public policy leadership.

The Chancellor’s Honor Roll is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00.

“The remarkable students achieving Chancellor’s Honor Roll are among the best and brightest at the University of Mississippi,” said Chancellor Glenn Boyce. “I commend them for their hard work and dedication resulting in their outstanding academic achievements and this well-deserved recognition.”

In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.

 

McNeese State University names President’s List & Honor Roll

 

LAKE CHARLES — The President’s Honor List for the spring 2023 semester at McNeese State University has been announced. To be on the President’s Honor List, an undergraduate student must earn at least a 3.5 GPA or better while carrying at least 15 semester hours. A senior eligible for graduation but carrying less than 15

hours is also eligible provided that student was on the President’s Honor List the previous semester.

Students from the River Parishes who made the President’s Honor List are as follows:

  • Luling: Hailey E. Deroche
  • Rose: Hanna Denton

The McNeese State University Honor Roll for the 2023 spring semester has been

announced. The honor roll lists undergraduate students earning at least a 3.0 or B average while

carrying 12 or more semester hours.

Local students on the Honor Roll are as follows:

  • Hahnville: Samuel H. Buhler
  • LaPlace: Jessica Lennix Taylor, Welland S. Williams
  • Luling: Ashley M. Wray
  • James: Jacob R. Matirne
