LaPlace juvenile arrested on firearms charges

SJSO reports that on Wednesday, May 24, a 16-year-old male subject of Laplace was arrested for Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile, and Possession of Marijuana.
While conducting an earlier investigation on Corrine Ct. in Laplace, detectives with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office were notified of a subject removing items from a nearby residence. Contact was made with the juvenile who was found to be in possession of a stolen handgun and marijuana.
The juvenile was booked accordingly and later released to the custody of his parent.
